Updates to the Frontastic Editor
You might have noticed that there have been some changes to the look and feel of the Frontastic Editor.
You might be wondering why we did this. Well, we noticed that there were some inconsistencies in our user journies, some different naming conventions, and some unclear error messages. We want to make using Frontastic easy and give you a great user experience, so we wanted to improve all of this. We also wanted to make the Editor more accessible, cleaner, and gives the impression of the Frontastic brand as soon as you open it.
For the updates, we're using a phased approach. In this 1st phase, we've made the design more consistent across all areas of the Editor, as well as updating the colors and hierarchy. So you'll mainly see style, and copy changes in this new update, all of your workflows will remain the same for now.
So what's changed in this phase:
- New look and feel
- New colors and style
- New name: Backstage will now always be referred to as the Frontastic Editor
- Clearer messaging and feedback
But we have a grand vision for our Editor, so in the future, these workflows will be changing. We'll be improving clarity and making it easier for your day-to-day work by creating an unbeatable user experience.
As more new changes are rolled out, we'll be updating all the documentation, so you can always find help if you need it.
