Catwalk

The frontend component of Frontastic that faces the end-user.

Catwalk is where Developers utilize the JavaScript code that Frontastic provides and where they add their own code. When combined together (along with APIs), it creates a Single Page App experience for the end-user.

A Project might contain a single, or multiple Catwalks which can share code as well as having unique code. For example, it might make sense to create a Catwalk per country: swiss, us, germany. Or it could make sense to distinguish target audiences like: teens, babies, adults.

Each Catwalk lives in its very own Cloud Infrastructure and there's no direct communication link from Catwalk to Backstage. This allows each Catwalk to scale independently and has no performance or failure impact from Backstage.
