Getting started for developers

Frontastic provides you with a unified development experience across all code areas while sticking to community standards as much as possible.

First things first, you'll need an understanding of using ReactJS. The majority of our code is built using this for the smoothest user experience and easy component development. If you're new to ReactJS, let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Next, you need to make sure you've got Git installed on your local machine as well as having access to the Frontastic EditorFrontastic Editor - The interface where you create pages, upload Tastics, and manage your project. which you can find at https://[yourcompany].frontastic.io. Please contact our Support team using the Submit a ticket button at the top of the page if you don't have access.

You'll also need to know which area of the project code you'll be working in. If you're working on the frontend, you'll need to set up our frontend helper, Frontastic CLIFrontastic CLI - Our Commandline Interface (CLI) that you can use for frontend development.. And if you're working on the Backend-for-Frontend, you'll need to work with a remote Frontastic MachineFrontastic Machine - A cloud-based virtual machine that you use for backend and some frontend development..
