Facets in the Frontastic studio

When you open Facets in the Frontastic studioFrontastic studio - The interface you use to manage, build, and edit all areas of your project and commerce sites. Previously known as `backstage`., it brings back all the searchable attributes from your project API. You can enable or disable these so that your customers can use them or not. When a new facet is added, it's added as disabled by default. You can also reorder them so that it makes sense for your customers.

For example, you can enable the attribute price to be shown as a facet and filter for product (variant) lists. Or by moving the price facet above the color facet, your customer should see the corresponding facets (statistics) and filter (select facilities) in this order. However, this can be overridden by your developers in code so please check with your team if they have one in place.

Reordering facets

Drag and drop the facets to reorder them as shown below:

Enabling a facet

  1. Click the row of the name of the facet you want to edit
  1. Click the toggle next to where it says Enabled and click Save

You can also click on the icon below and it will enable the facet without opening the details panel:

If you open the Facets area, you might see the below screen:

To investigate the issue, you can run the below in the CLI:

curl "<customer>-<project>.frontastic.io/api/project/searchableAttributes" \
     -H 'Accept: application/json' \
     -H 'X-Frontastic-Nonce: nonce' \
     -H "X-Frontastic-Hash: $(printf '%s:' 'nonce' | openssl dgst -sha256 -hmac '<apiKey>')"

Replace <customer> with your customer name and with your project name. Then replace <apiKey> with your API key (which can be found in your project.yml).

Once returned, you'll be able to find where the issue is.
